Just know that using the wrong troops for the wrong job is the rough equivalent of kissing them all goodbye. For instance, you might commit your offensive troops to defend your castle if you have no other choice. The only time you want to be using one type for the other task is in situations of extreme desperation. Troops with a green shield icon are for defending your turf or locations captured by your League. Some troops have red sword icons, and are used to attack battlegrounds or raid other players’ castles. Save tasks that take several hours or more until you aren’t going to be actively playing anyway. This is actually a good thing, as it helps you manage your timers better. Well, not really, but after you zoom through to level 25 or 30, the time it takes to do anything increases significantly. If you don’t like the first League you join, you can always leave and find another one. The game nudges you toward joining a League, and you should. There’s a fair amount you can do on your own, but capturing and holding settlements and Beacons takes teamwork. Do not go it alone!
